Tinder’s New AI-Powered Game Assesses Your Flirting Skills

On Tuesday, dating giant Tinder announced a new game powered by OpenAI, allowing users to interact with an AI bot to practice flirting, reenact meet-cute scenarios, and receive scores with suggestions for improving their dating skills.

To play Tinder’s "The Game Game", tap the Tinder logo in the top-left corner of the app. The game gives users a deck of cards, with each one featuring a different AI persona and scenario. Users must use their voices to respond and try to flirt their way into getting a date with the bot.

After the interaction, users are scored on a three-point scale using flame emojis. The AI provides real-time feedback throughout the experience. If users are rude, for instance, the AI offers suggestions to improve the conversation.

According to the company, the new game is intended to provide a fun and lighthearted experience, not to be taken too seriously.

However, the trend of people flirting with AI bots is becoming scarily popular, and Tinder seems to be banking on this as a way to attract more users amid its struggles for growth. Also, there are already several existing apps in this space.

A Chinese Brain Chip Company Could Soon Surpass Elon Musk’s Neuralink

A Chinese brain chip company could surpass Elon Musks’ Neuralink in the number of patients implanted with its experimental tech later this year.

A collaboration between the Beijing-based Chinese Institute for Brain Research (CIBR) and the state-owned NeuCyber NeuroTech is planning to implant its brain chip, Beinao No. 1, in 13 people by the end of 2025.

So far, three patients have been implanted with the device. Recently published videos show individuals with paralysis using the chip to control a robotic arm. By comparison, three people have been implanted with Neuralink’s brain chip.

Neuralink is testing a more invasive device that is implanted directly into the brain — unlike NeuCyber’s current device, which sits on the brain’s surface. The company aims to help people with paralysis control smartphones and computers using only their thoughts. Last February, Neuralink implanted its chip in its first patient, 30-year-old quadriplegic Noland Arbaugh, who has since used it to play video games like Mario Kart, Civilization, and chess.

Bitcoin Teeters on Macro Showdown Between Trump Tariffs and Fed Outlook

If ever there were a make or break week for markets, this certainly feels like the one. On Wednesday, Trump’s deadline for tariffs approaches, and on Friday we get new jobs numbers and a speech from Fed Chair Jay Powell.

Bitcoin and the rest of crypto are looking as shaky as ever in the short-term, with Ethereum returning to lows not seen since 2023 over the weekend at $1,775. Luckily one buyer, Strategy CEO Michael Saylor, remains undeterred as he scoops up another $1.9 billion in Bitcoin.

Things are weird in crypto right now because conviction among those in the space has arguably never been higher — and yet short-term price movements over the next few weeks have never been less clear.

One thing is for certain: People don’t feel good right now. In fact, consumer expectations for business conditions tanked in the latest University of Michigan survey to a historic low. Lower than the pandemic. Lower than 2008. Like, lowest… ever. So yeah, considering that, it's actually kind of crazy that digital gold is still holding at $82,000.
