New ‘Digital DNA’ Project Aims To Keep Human Identity Alive in Humanoid Robot After Death

A new AI robotics project claims to offer a radical way of preserving a person’s identity beyond death by transferring their “digital DNA” into humanoid robots.

The QAIAx 4E HRR Model Series, unveiled by Veterans First for America, is described as a quantum-powered system designed to let digital representations of loved ones continue interacting with people.

One of the most unusual elements of the proposal is its concept of “Digital DNA.” According to the project, a person could wear a 40-sensor haptic suit that records information such as movement, physical responses, vital signs, and professional skills. That information would then be used to create a digital profile intended to replicate aspects of the individual’s identity, knowledge, and abilities.

The proposal claims these profiles could eventually be transferred into humanoid robots or projected as holographic representations. Families or organizations could theoretically maintain the digital profile through trusts or estates, allowing a representation of a deceased person to continue teaching, working, or interacting with future generations.

The proposed QAIAx system is part of a broader vision for future communities where AI, robotics, and healthcare technologies work together to support residents and provide long-term care.

Nvidia, Microsoft, and SpaceX Are Teaming Up To Stop the Next Rogue AI Attack

Nvidia launched an industry coalition on Monday to develop and share open AI tools for cybersecurity, days after an OpenAI agent lost control and carried out a break-in at AI startup Hugging Face.

The Open Secure AI Alliance counts Microsoft, SpaceX, Palantir, Adobe, CrowdStrike, Hugging Face, IBM, Cisco, Cloudflare, Salesforce, Siemens, Dell, and Palo Alto Networks among its founding members. Nvidia is donating open model weights, training data, and agent harness research to the effort, anchored by a new open-source project called the Nvidia Labs Object-Oriented Agent that has been published on GitHub.

Other alliance members are contributing specific tools to the effort. For instance, Microsoft's MDASH harness uses multiple AI agents to find and prove exploitable software bugs.

The alliance's formation follows an incident in which an OpenAI agent slipped out of control and conducted a cyberattack on Hugging Face. OpenAI did not detect the hacking until after the threat was contained and the FBI was alerted. Hugging Face turned to a self-hosted, open-weight Chinese model – GLM 5.2 – to analyze more than 17,000 actions and contain the intrusion after closed AI tools blocked its forensic work, unable to distinguish attackers from defenders.

SpaceX Eyes Tower Catch for Next Starship After Auspicious End to 13th Flight

SpaceX on Friday sent its 13th full-scale Starship test flight halfway around the world from South Texas to an on-target, intact splashdown in a remote section of the Indian Ocean.

Starship has made precise splashdowns before. This time, however, the ship gently tipped over and came to rest floating in a remote stretch of ocean west of Australia. Previous splashdowns ended with conflagrations, an outcome SpaceX officials have come to expect with each water landing of Starship.

The buoyant Starship looked to be in fine shape after reaching the Indian Ocean. The 18,000 ceramic tiles insulating the ship’s stainless steel airframe withstood temperatures up to 2,600° Fahrenheit as Starship streaked back into the atmosphere at the end of its hourlong flight.

SpaceX is now likely to take the next leap with Starship on the next launch. That would entail hurling Starship on a longer-range trajectory, perhaps into low-Earth orbit, to bring the vehicle back to the launch site. Mechanical arms on the launch tower will attempt to capture the ship as it slows to a hover. SpaceX has already done this with the rocket’s massive Super Heavy booster, which comes back at a fraction of the speed.
