Meta Expands Ray-Ban AI Glasses for Prescription Users, Adds Nutrition Tracking

Meta has announced two new AI-powered smart glasses aimed at users who rely on prescription eyewear, expanding its push into everyday wearable technology.

The new models, Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics (Gen 2) and Ray-Ban Meta Scriber Optics (Gen 2), are designed to support nearly all prescriptions while improving comfort for extended use.

The announcement also includes new frame colors, lens options, and additional AI features expected to roll out soon.

Meta is also introducing new software features that rely on voice and camera inputs. The updates aim to make interactions more hands-free and integrated into daily routines.

One of the key additions is nutrition tracking. Users can log meals by speaking or capturing a quick photo. Meta AI then extracts relevant nutritional information and adds it to a food log. Over time, the system generates insights based on user habits.

The glasses will start at $499 in the United States. Pre-orders are now open online, with broader availability beginning April 14 at optical retailers and select international markets.

Bitcoin, Crypto Stocks Climb on Reports That Iran's President Is 'Ready to End War'

Crypto stocks and Bitcoin saw sudden gains Tuesday on multiple reports that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is "ready to end war."

Crypto exchange Coinbase has gained nearly 9% since the opening bell, recently trading at $175. Bitcoin mining and AI hardware firm Bitdeer saw its shares jump more than 12%, trading as high as $8.98 before falling back to $8.88. And chipmaker giant Nvidia saw its shares gain 5% to reach $173.80.

Stock indices are showing major gains on the day, with the Nasdaq rising 3.63%, the S&P 500 climbing 2.7%, and the Dow up 2.32% so far Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin saw a short-lived surge above $68,000 before retracing. At the time of writing, BTC is trading for $67,821, according to crypto price aggregator CoinGecko. That puts it 1.9% higher than it was this time yesterday. Ethereum is up even more on the day, rising about 3.5% to a recent price just below $2,100.

"We have the will to end this war – provided that necessary guarantees are in place to prevent any repetition of aggression," the Iranian president said earlier today.

Marvell Spikes After Nvidia Invests $2 Billion in the Custom Chip Maker

Shares of Marvell Technology (MRVL) are spiking in premarket trading after Nvidia (NVDA) announced that it’s investing $2 billion in the custom chip company as part of another strategic partnership.

The pact will see Marvell “provide custom XPUs and NVLink Fusion-compatible scale-up networking,” a major step for Nvidia in demonstrating the willingness and the ability of its AI offerings to be deployed in concert with other companies’ products.

In essence, Nvidia is ready for a world where data centers are composed of a mix of its GPUs as well as custom chips. Making sure those custom chips integrate well with its AI infrastructure platform will help maximize the dollars it receives for every gigawatt of data center capacity deployed.

And for Marvell, it’s a big vote of confidence in its custom chip and networking business.

Marvell and Nvidia will also be collaborating on silicon photonics technology, according to the press release.
