After Grok 4 Reveal, Musk Says Teslas Will Get the Chatbot by Next Week

Elon Musk says Tesla owners won’t have to wait long to try out Grok in their cars. In a post on X Thursday, Musk said the AI chatbot will be integrated into Tesla vehicles “next week at the latest.”

This comes just a day after xAI, Musk’s AI company and the owner of X, launched Grok 4, the newest version of its large language model. While Musk has talked before about bringing Grok to Tesla vehicles, this is the first time he’s given an actual timeline.

Grok 4 is said to outperform the latest models from Google and OpenAI when it comes to Artificial Analysis' intelligence benchmarks, though it reportedly falls behind on speed. The chatbot is expected to become Tesla’s in-car voice assistant, something Musk has hinted at since founding xAI in 2023.

The announcement comes after Grok faced backlash earlier this week for posting antisemitic comments and referring to itself as “MechaHitler” on X. The team behind Grok removed the posts following complaints from users and the Anti-Defamation League. xAI also temporarily paused Grok and said it’s working to prevent similar incidents.

The Strange Reason I Own Bitcoin

I own Bitcoin and I always will. I can’t see myself ever selling it. My reasoning is pretty unique and stems from a previous career I had in venture capital.

I often reflect on the “Power Law,” where 1-2 investments gain a lot, 60 are total losses, and the rest end up somewhere in the middle. In venture capital, it’s the 1-2 that matter. We call these “outliers.” Outliers don’t just double or triple… They 50X, 100X, 1,000X, or more.

Right now, Bitcoin is once again sitting near all-time highs. I currently hold Bitcoin in the speculative portion of my portfolio along with some other high-risk/high-reward bets.

I treat this portion of my portfolio similar to how a VC treats their portfolio. Even near $110,000, I believe the risk of not owning Bitcoin for years to come far outweighs the risk of losing my initial capital. Like a VC, I just need 1 or 2 of these high-risk/high-reward bets to pay off.

Love it or hate it, Bitcoin has proven to pay off for the last 15 years and will likely continue to pay off for years to come. I recommend you own some yourself.

Obesity Reversed in Genome Edited Mice that Produce Their Own GLP-1

Weight-loss and diabetes drugs like GLP-1 receptor agonists have reshaped the treatment landscape, but they come with a catch: frequent injections to maintain their effects. Now, researchers in Japan have taken a striking step toward rewriting this paradigm by turning the liver into a long-term GLP-1 producer.

Scientists at the University of Osaka reported using a single genome editing treatment to engineer mice to produce their own supply of Exendin-4, a GLP-1 receptor agonist that controls appetite and blood sugar.

The approach led to reduced food intake, attenuated weight gain, and improved metabolic health and insulin sensitivity in diet-induced obesity mouse models without any detectable adverse effects, the researchers reported.

While the work is still preclinical, it hints at a potential future: treating chronic, multifactorial conditions like obesity and type II diabetes with a one-time genetic intervention that turns the patient’s own cells into long-term producers of therapeutic biologics.
