Elon's 10-to-1 AI Bet

Davis Wilson:

Sp"AI"ceX

Well… Elon Musk moved SpaceX's third quarter earnings report up by two weeks to last night. And his grades were spectacular! Revenue came in at $14.6 billion vs. $12.7 billion expected, and earnings per share came in at $0.35 vs. $0.13 expected.

The company also successfully launched the first revenue-generating Starship mission in Q3, in addition to 113 total launches so far this year. Starlink revenue YTD has already surpassed 2025 revenue by 12%. But remember… SpaceX isn't a "space" company. It's an AI company. And the financials they just released prove it.

The company's AI segment is now dwarfing both Space and Connectivity (Starlink). AI revenue YTD has already surpassed 2025 revenue by 3x. SpaceX estimates the total addressable market for Space at $370 billion, Connectivity (Starlink) at $1.6 trillion, and AI at $26.5 trillion.

All this AI growth comes at a price. The company literally named SpaceX is now spending 10x more money building AI infrastructure than it is building its space business. That tells you where Elon believes the biggest opportunity lies.

Anthropic's First-Half Net Loss Reached $80.7 Billion, Draft IPO Filing Shows

Anthropic recorded a net loss of $80.7 billion in the first half of 2026, up from $13 billion a year earlier, according to a draft IPO prospectus.

Most of the loss came from a $72 billion accounting charge linked to the rising worth of bonds that holders could exchange for Anthropic equity. The charge does not represent cash spent on operations.

Anthropic put close to $9 billion toward infrastructure and computing capacity during the first six months of the year, versus $2.3 billion over the same stretch in 2025. The company has pledged to spend a minimum of $518 billion across 10 years on infrastructure, computing power and cloud services.

The San Francisco-based company is expected to list its shares in November. Some investors are now considering a price tag near $1.5 trillion for the company after its newest financial disclosures.

Anthropic told prospective investors last week that its third-quarter revenue reached $16.8 billion and that it was profitable on an adjusted basis. Reuters reported that the revenue figure was up 45% from the previous quarter.

James Altucher:

Tom Bilyeu: What to Do If AI Threatens Your Career

Tom Bilyeu, my guest on the latest episode of The James Altucher Show, has spent his career reinventing himself. He helped build Quest Nutrition. Then he built Impact Theory, which came out of nowhere and became one of the biggest shows in its category.

Now he's building a video game called Kyzen – a massive, procedurally generated world – and using AI throughout the process.

So I asked him the question I was honestly a little scared to hear the answer to: You're 45. You've got a mortgage. You've got kids. You've built a career. And AI is coming for your job. What happens?

Tom did not comfort me. He said history suggests some people will lose their jobs during a technological transition and never really recover. But then he made clear it isn't necessarily about age. It's about what kind of person you are when the world changes. Do you look for the opportunity? Or do you spend all your time looking at what you're about to lose?

And Tom also gave me one question I'm absolutely stealing.

This is Tom Bilyeu.
