"Bitcoin's God Just Spoke!!!"
Chris Campbell:
The End of Bitcoin As We Know It (Again!!!)
On July 4th, something ancient lurched deep in the Bitcoin blockchain: 80,000 Bitcoin vanished from eight wallets that hadn’t as much as twitched in 14 years. No warning. No trumpet sounds. Just an $8.6 billion silent exit. The crypto world freaked out.
Many asked: Is Satoshi back?
Quick recap if you’re new here: Nobody knows who created Bitcoin. He called himself Satoshi Nakamoto. Could be one person or a team. Whoever it was mined over a million BTC in the early days—then disappeared.
So why did people think it was Satoshi? Because these were Satoshi-era coins—untouched since he vanished from the forums. The kind of coins that aren’t supposed to move unless something big is happening.
But in reality, it was likely a scam site that scared whales into moving their coins around – not Satoshi. However, the sudden fear surrounding a possible return of Satoshi makes it clear that Bitcoin’s real final boss is its first believer.
It’s also a sword of Damocles hanging over every die-hard Bitcoiner’s head. What if he returns?

GENIUS Act Update: What’s Happening With the Stablecoin Crypto Vote?
It looks like the GENIUS Act might advance through the U.S. House of Representatives after all, following some arm-twisting from President Donald Trump.
On Tuesday, the cryptocurrency legislation looked dead in the water, with 223 lawmakers voting against moving forward with the bill and 196 for it. Thirteen Republicans joined Democrats in the nays. But it seems things are unlikely to stay that way following a White House meeting later in the day.
“I am in the Oval Office with 11 of the 12 Congressmen/women necessary to pass the GENIUS Act and, after a short discussion, they have all agreed to vote tomorrow morning in favor of the Rule,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. House Speaker Mike Johnson phoned into the meeting and apparently plans to introduce another vote swiftly.
If passed, the GENIUS Act would regulate stablecoins, or those tied to stable assets like the dollar. It’s one of three bills blocked in Tuesday’s vote and is appearing during the House’s “Crypto Week.” The term was coined by the U.S. House of Representatives’ leadership to highlight the proposed crypto-friendly legislation.

Congress Moves To Reject Bulk of White House’s Proposed NASA Cuts
A budget-writing panel in the House of Representatives passed a $24.8 billion NASA budget bill Tuesday, joining a similar subcommittee in the Senate in maintaining the space agency's funding after the White House proposed a nearly 25% cut.
The budget bills making their way through the House and Senate don't specify funding levels for individual programs, but the topline numbers—$24.8 billion in the House version and $24.9 billion the Senate bill—represent welcome news for scientists.
The spending plan passed Tuesday by the House subcommittee covers NASA and numerous other federal agencies. The $24.8 billion budget the House seeks for NASA is $6 billion more than the Trump administration's budget proposal, and keeps NASA's funding next year the same as this year.
The corresponding subcommittee in the Senate passed its version of NASA's fiscal year 2026 budget July 9. The Senate bill maintains funding for NASA's science division at $7.3 billion, the same as fiscal year 2025, while the House bill reduces it to $6 billion, still significantly more than the $3.9 billion for science in the White House budget proposal.
